First spin-off successfully launched

[News vom: 01.02.2012]

RCPE itself is just 3 ½ years old and can already look with proud upon its first spin-off: the business unit for regulatory services (RCPS) was tranformed into Pharmaceutical Regulatory Services GmbH (PRSG) on February 1st, 2012.

Regulatory services, that is services regarding approvals for pharmaceutical products, are getting more and more in demand. RCPE had recognized that trend already in 2009 and established a business unit (Research Center Pharmaceutical Services, RCPS), which specialized in this field, in November 2009.

For many, particularly small companies, the approval process is too time-consuming and costly. This is where RCPS came into play and offered competent consulting and individually developed solutions for the entire approval process. Due to modifications in law, the demand for such services increased. These circumstances, along with the high standards offered and the resulting word-of-mouth recommendation led to a very successful development of RCPS. It established a good reputation in Austria and the contract value increased steadily.

RCPS is transformed into PRSG

In 2011 the first considerations regarding a possible spin-off of RCPS as an autonomous company were made. At the end of 2011 the largest part of the arrangements for the spin-off were finalized and on February 1st, 2012, the Pharmaceutical Regulatory Services GmbH (PRSG) started its work.

"From the beginning on, our services were in great demand. Thus, we are very confident for the future.", says the CEO of PRSG, Mag. Lydia Morawetz. She has been jointly responsible for the development of the business unit RCPS and has also managed it. "We lose a very successful business area", admits Dr. Thomas Klein, CEO of RCPE, "but we are convinced to have taken the right step. I am absolutely proud to have successfully brought such a spin-off into being and I wish the team of PRSG all the best for their future!"
