Milestones of RCPE´s History

The Research Center Pharmaceutical Engineering GmbH (RCPE) was officially accredited within the COMET Programme of the Austrian Federal Government on December 28th 2007.

The Center was founded on June 26th and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Johannes Khinast and Dr. Thomas K. Klein were appointed as representative executives.

New offices in Plüddemanngasse and Inffeldgasse offer the opportunity to perform high-level work in a pleasant work environment.

April/May 2008	Coordination and signature of the Agreement by all scientific and corporate partners
June 26^th, 2008	Constitutive General Assembly (signature of the company agreement, authorization of the executives and the Board of Directors) and Constitutive Board meeting
July 1^st, 2008	The K1-Center “RCPE” starts its operation
July 15^th, 2008	Start of the first K1-project „Quality by Design“ in Area III
July 22^nd, 2008	Registration of the company „Production of Drugs and Poisons“
Aug. 12^th, 2008	Installation of the Controlling and Accounting System
Sept. 15^th, 2008	First NonK-Service, “Disposable Freeze/Thaw Systems”, is commissioned by Zeta Biopharma GmbH
Sept. 24^th, 2008	First General Assembly and Board meetings
Nov. 28^th, 2008	Second General Assembly and Board meetings (University of Graz receives 20% of the shares from Graz University of Technology)
Nov. 30^th, 2008	Completion of the organization manual
Jan. 1^st, 2009	Start of the first two funded NonK projects (“Prozess-Spray“ funded by DFG and “generation.innovation–Region” funded by bmvit)
Feb. 23^rd, 2009	Constitutive Program Committee and Program Commission Meeting
June 30^th, 2009	Completion of the 1^st successful business year
Aug. 26^th, 2009	Completion of the first RCPE master thesis by Simone Schrank (“Development of an Extrusion Process for Fast Disintegrating Pellets”)
Nov. 1^st, 2009	Start of a new NonK-Area “RCPS” specialized on Regulatory Affairs (spin-off is planned in 2011)
Dec. 31^st, 2009	Start of the biggest K1-project to date: “Development of a Pharmaceutical Production Technology Platform for Added-Value Products” in Area III with over € 2,6 Mio. project volume

June 14^th, 2010	Strategy Board / Supervisor Board meeting: the strategy until 2015 is approved
June 30^th, 2010	Completion of the 2nd successful Business Year
Sept. 15^th, 2010	Winner of the Fast Forward Award in the category “Innovation” for “Printable Medicine / Pills on Paper”
Oct. 1^st, 2010	Implementation of the new technical lab for scale-up production
Feb. 2011	Mag.(pharm) Eva Littringer, one of RCPEs employees, is the first graduate of the Master´s Course in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering (Graz University of Technology/ University of Graz)
March 3^rd, 2011	One of RCPEs interns in summer 2010 won the generation.innovation internship Award
March 15^th, 2011	Winner of the science2business Award (2nd place) in the field of good cooperation between science and industry
June 20^th, 2011	Core Document for the 4-Year-Evaluation of the RCPE by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) was submitted
June 30^th, 2011	Successful completion of the 3^rd business year
Sept. 20^th-21^st, 2011	Site Visit during the 4-Year-Evaluation. International experts evaluate the research program and inspect the laboratories of RCPE
Sept. 29^th-30^th, 2011	Successful holding of the "5^th International Congress on Pharmaceutical Engineering (ICPE)" at Graz University of Technology with more than 160 participants from 19 different countries
Feb. 1^st, 2012	The first spin-off of RCPE, the Pharmaceutical Regulatory Services GmbH (PRSG), starts its operation
March 14^th, 2012	Victoria Schober, an RCPE intern, wins the generation.innovation internship Award 2011
March 19^th-22^nd, 2012	RCPE participates in an delegation's journey to Istanbul in the course of the World Meeting on Pharmaceutics
