Area III:
Process Engineering and Manufacturing Science

The third Area’s focal point will be the development, testing, optimization and control of robust processes for the production, modification and synthesis of APIs, materials, formulations and complex drug and diagnostic products.

Area Manager:
DI Dr. Christine VOURA (currently on maternity leave)

Goals:

  • Development of continuous processes for the production of solid dosage forms,
  • Process Analytical Technology (PAT) tools for advanced processing,
  • Advanced methods for cleanroom sterilization and
  • Cell damage and loss of productivity due to scale-up induced stress (strategic)
