It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 19th Annual Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Solid State Research Cluster (PSSRC). Over nearly two decades, the PSSRC has grown into a unique community that brings together researchers from academia, industry, and regulatory bodies to share new data, exchange ideas, and build collaborations. More than a scientific event, this meeting is a chance to reconnect, to support the next generation of scientists, and to celebrate the progress we have made together in advancing solid-state research.
Our field remains central to the development of safe, effective, and accessible medicines. From understanding polymorphism and amorphous stability to exploring new formulation strategies and manufacturing technologies, solid-state science directly influences the medicines patients receive. At the same time, we are embracing powerful new tools, such as computational modelling, data-driven methods, and advanced analytical techniques. This diversity of approaches is reflected in the abstracts collected here, which highlight both fundamental research and practical applications, and showcase the creativity and innovation of our community.
The Book of Abstracts is more than a record of presentations—it is an invitation to explore new ideas and conversations. We encourage you to use it as a guide, but also to look beyond your own area of expertise and connect with colleagues whose work may inspire unexpected synergies. The friendly and collaborative atmosphere of the PSSRC has always been one of its great strengths, and we hope you will find many opportunities for stimulating discussion, new insights, and perhaps new friendships.
